1)The 12v battery charger works great on standard flooded wet-cell lead-acid batteries, as well as AGM (absorption glass mat) batteries. If you have a gel-cell battery, there is a different version that has programming to work properly with them.

2)Have been useing Battery Tender to keep my motorcycle batteries charged during the off-season and now the Battery Tender Junior to charge the battery for a fish finder on a kayak. It charges of course, but most importantly it doesn’t wear out a battery prematurely by over-charging. There are a lot cheaper chargers available, but the Batter Tender costs less in the long run.

3)Works great for storing and charging my car battery over the winter! Don’t mistake this as a quick charger. It does take some time but that’s the point of a trickle charger. Red light indicates it’s charging and then when it flashes red it is almost done and solid green and your all charged. Works great for what I use it for.

4)It has saved me from having to call someone to charge or replace my battery several times I decide to use my car after storage. Didn’t know things like this existed and wasn’t vigilant about starting the car to keep the battery charged, Thereby having the battery die. This stays plugged in and is easy to remove when the car is used, and very easy to reconnect.

Why is it worth to buy?

1.indestructible

The 12v battery charger is designed to be pretty much indestructible. You can hook it up backwards to the battery, and nothing will happen. You can start the bike with it connected, no problem, it simply turns itself off. It’s spark proof, and has an indicator light that flashes and changes color to tell you the state of your battery, and what it is doing to manage it. It has a five year warranty, which I have not had to use.

2.Easy to use

Easy to hook up and it worked a charm. Well to be precise, I had to get a replacement battery but it was free under warranty. I decided to permanently install the connector using the terminal lug nuts. It was pretty simple with attention to detail — think about routing it and accessing it and not letting it rub against anything that will break the insulation and not get hot from the engine. So that takes a little finesse but not it’s in, it’s not visible except when in use and it works.

3.High Quality Product

Works great and maintains 12v batteries at full charge indefinitely. Has 3 levels of charge for bringing low batteries up and then maintaining them. Cannot overcharge, and does not back-drain a battery if power fails or is shut off without disconnecting the cables. Nice long cables too, by the way.
